Film/Video Teaching Experience
Emerson College Adjunct Professor 2007-2008
Professor of Film 1, an introductory 16mm film production class for film and video majors. Course included: Shooting 16mm film with Bolex camera (stop motion, hand cranking, experimental shooting techniques), editing film using Steenbecks and splicers, production (lighting, light meters, sound recording, planning, and pre-production) magnetic sound stock, hand manipulation, discussions following film screenings, and critiques of students’ work.
Massachusetts College of Art Teacher 2007
Summer Studios: Taught filmmaking (16mm and Super-8) to 11th and 12th grade students. Course included pre- and post-production, shooting and editing film, and hand manipulation of film. Participated in critiques of students’ drawings/2D artwork.
Massachusetts College of Art Co-Professor 2006
Co-taught 2 semesters of sophomore film with senior faculty member, Saul Levine. Taught all sophomore students 16mm film production including: Shooting and editing 16mm film, the Bolex camera (including stop motion, hand cranking, and experimental film techniques), Steenbeck, splicers, and magnetic sound stock. Led critical discussions with students following film screenings.

Assisted faculty teaching an undergraduate core curriculum course called, “Visual Language”. Course included lessons in 2D, 3D, design, video, photography, and sound.

interactive digital program for math instruction with a 7th grade class.

Editor for new series of high school math books. Duties include: creating outlines, editing manuscript, writing, correlating to state standards, and maintaining consistent style and meaningful philosophy of teaching.
